With their rich, autumn-colored hues, marigolds are the quintessential October birth flower. Early Christians called marigolds Mary’s Gold, and placed it by statues of the Virgin Mary. Brilliant and colorful, with a late-harvest warmth and a broad open bloom, marigolds signify affection and grace. Marigolds add so much fall color to your home so send a print in any size to those born in October.
I painted these flowers as a set of 12 to go in a date book, these I believe were inspired by my mother who not only loved flowers, but also painted them in watercolors, so this is part of her legacy living on.
